Northampton

Northampton is a modern town with an ancient past.

A fire in 1675 burnt most of the medieval city and the Georgian town that grew up was itself swamped by the Industrial Revolution's factory developments: Northampton factories were making boots and shoes that shod most of the empire!

Northampton is also one of the greenest towns in England with many beautiful parks.

Due to its ideal location, close to both London and Birmingham, Northampton has now grown into a great place for businesses. Nationwide and Barclaycard being the largest employers.

Northampton has very good entertainment facilities with a large shopping centre and many bars, restaurants, pubs, clubs and cinema complexes – Northampton offers something for everyone!
